Dream Team Joins LA Children’s Hospital for Quinceanera
This month we are honored to be a part of the coming of age celebration for two young girls in our community. The CHLA charity Los Compadres is making fairytale dreams come true for Kailey Farias, 14, and Edna Segura, 15 who will be celebrating their Quinceaneras on Friday, October 27.
Kailey and Edna will both share in this celebration, however it is their time at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles that first brought them together. Both girls have spent much of their lives battling a serious illness; so it’s been very important for us at DreamCatchers to team up with the other charities involved, in order to give these girls the fairytale coming-of-age party they’ve been dreaming of.
“I have always been dreaming about a quinceanera ever since my sister had hers,” said Segura.
The Dream Team will be styling the hair for both girls and giving their mothers’ a makeover including a full set of DreamCatchers hair.
“The entire event, location, the catering, the DJ, flowers, dresses, everything you can imagine has been donated to our beautiful patients,” said Dana Valenzuela with CHLA Los Compadres.
We are all looking forward to sharing in this special evening and tradition. Our goal is that it will be a joyous celebration in which our honorary guests will feel happy, healthy and beautiful.
